This growing suburb of Phoenix has successfully fought off Wal-Mart three times and is back at it again.
The location Wal-Mart is after now is the town center, a unique, upscale area of Gilbert currently zoned for entertainment and recreation. The parcel includes a bike path, waterfalls, and walkways and would be destroyed by a massive big box. Citizens are organizing and are determined to win yet again.
