Littleton Against Wal-Mart (LAW) is a grassroots organization committed to stopping the building of a Wal-Mart along the Santa Fe corridor in Littleton, CO. The enormous Supercenter proposed would cause major traffic and pollution problems and destroy 60 acres of valuable land that includes a wildlife conservation area, a bird sanctuary, a park and a river.
Organizers report their phones have been ringing off the hook with citizens who want to fight to save Littleton from this inappropriate development.
This fight is just getting started and the current zoning protects Littleton from Wal-Mart. However, Wal-Mart is fighting to change Littleton’s zoning ordinances in order to allow the massive store.
