Citizens in southwest Tucson are concerned that a California based developer is trying to pull the wool over their eyes. The developer submitted an application to the city to build the Mountain Vista Shopping Center on a 25 acres parcel located at the corner of Ajo and Kinney Roads. Citizens are determined that the developer is purposely not revealing that the shopping center would include a Wal-Mart Supercenter in order to avoid opposition from neighbors concerned about Wal-Mart’s business practices. The neighborhood welcomes a grocery store but will fight to ensure new tenants show respect for the community and its workforce. Its not too late to demand transparency and stop this invasion!
