Consumer Safety at Wal-Mart
Our newest fact sheet examines how Wal-Mart frquently fails to protect consumers, both by stocking unsafe products on its shelves and failing to remove them if and when recalls are issued. The multiple food and product recalls in recent weeks - many of which solely affected Wal-Mart - have exposed these cracks in the company’s infrastructure. In regards to Wal-Mart’s role in the US food supply chain:
As the world’s largest company and the nation’s leading grocer, Wal-Mart’s actions have a tremendous impact on the health and safety of Americans. While it squeezes suppliers to get the lowest costs for products, Wal-Mart neglects to ensure that those products are safe. Low prices should not be offered at the expense of consumer safety. Wal-Mart’s track record is not trustworthy as highlighted briefly below.

This goes out to someone who can tell me if it true ,that all wm managers swallow at their evals? WE all know they are nothing but a bunch of money loving bastards who will screw
all their workers out of money for their bonus. They want to run a store with 200 people that should have 380 to save on payroll to get a bigger bonus. So tell me if all managers are
a bunch of money loving punks and cowards who don’t even have the balls to talk to associates. You know they will
see it all later in their life when their kids tell them how much
they hate them for what they did to other people.

Using your logic, I come to the following conclusions:
-If you don’t work for a company, you can have no opinion on it.
-If you have never served in the military, you cannot say anything about the military.
-If you are not a woman, you cannot say anything about women.
-If you are not a man, you cannot say anything about a man.
I think it is safe to say that you believe in no judgements, opinions, comments, etc. We should all just keep quiet.

Nick,
How about this one:
-If you are not a manager, you can’t say anything about being a manager!!

I couldn’t make that PDF link work… (The page cannot be found)....
I hope the fact sheet deals with falling merchandise, one of my favorite areas of interest in Wal-Mart. You have no idea how many people get hurt every day, employees and customers alike.

BOB,
“Bob are you a mngt?”
No, I am retired, but, I have been both a worker and a supervisor and know that a worker looks at a supervisor (management) as someone who doesn’t DO anything, but give out crazy orders!! Most of the time, the worker only sees things from THEIR perspective, not the company’s!! The supervisor, has to balance the company’s needs with the workers needs, but is being paid to support the company’s needs more, because fulfilling the company’s needs determines whether or not the worker will have a job in the future!!
Many times, the workers don’t understand WHY things are done the way they are and think that their needs come first, but, a company is more than one person, and the many are more important than the one!! Therefore, if say, a person doesn’t show up for work, the other workers are impacted and expected to work harder, and then, they see it as being short staffed!!

First, there is more to this than getting Wal-Mart workers a raise, there is an impact on the economy and the free market, that is why we post!! Next, we didn’t have to work at Wal-Mart to comment, because we SHOP there, so that is the point!! Lastly, if we were PAID BLOGGERS, we would be working for Wal-Mart, wouldn’t we? But, truth is, I can say that I am not paid to blog, but, I wish I were, I could use the money, hear that Wal-Mart!!

Purrrrrrrfect Bob!!!
Bob has said a great truth here. The many are more important than the one. That is why Walmart wants to keep the Walmart workers from becoming unified. Walmart knows that as long as they keep the ‘associates’ divided and a single voice at a time, then they can get away much more.
Become one voice. Become ‘more important’ as Bob has said. Check with a union in your area about what rights you may have that Walmart doesn’t want you to know about.
