The Ghost of Wal-Mart: Haunting Towns and Facebook Profiles Near You
Today’s free Facebook gift is none other than a branded Wal-Mart ghost. What do we think of this? Perhaps it’s the company showing how the Spirit of Wal-Mart spooks towns all over the United States, scares local businesses to close their doors, and shuns quality production in favor of products that are shoddily made - risking the health and safety of consumers - just to name a few frightening things.
The Facebook group Facebook: Stop Running Wal-Mart Ads! has encouraged members not to give the free gift - and tell Facebook that they are not down with their relationship with Wal-Mart. We’re wondering, wouldn’t it be great to get the the developers of the free gift application to develop an “make Wal-Mart a more responsible corporate citizen” gift? Contact Facebook by clicking “write us a message” at the bottom of their gifts page and let them know how you really feel.
Editor’s Note: Consumerist just posted on the Wal-Mart free gift and it’s cookie-like form. Watch out for recalls, everyone.

Wal-Mart is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful company I’ve ever know in my whole life.

China...More Like America Everyday!
“Farmers have lost their land, workers of...companies have gotten laid off, people living at the bottom of society struggle in their daily lives, there is a huge difference in incomes of the rich and the poor, and a large amount of violence exists.”
No, this isn’t a description of American society. According to
Ai Xiaoming, a professor at Sun Yat-sen University, this is life in China today.
Maybe RDS is right. We should give China more time. Then it can be just like the United States.

How is this for “Wal-Mart is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful company...”
Anti-inflation zealotry is just a WalMart gimmick at a terrible price of externalized costs, an excuse to behave with cover for their ‘love of money’ psychopath business model. As Ross Perot noted..."Any body can cut prices. It takes genius to make a better product.” Cheapest lead tainted crap from WalMart by way of arbitraged slave labor and at the expense of the American manufacturing worker and American product standards as another one of their annual Christmas gifts to you and your kids. Don’t be thinking about all the years of previous lead tainted toy crap WalMart sold you now sitting in Joshua’s toy box or the brain damaged child (RDS) at your neighbor’s house. That begins to smack of business and corporate responsibility and accountability concepts in a historical context upon WalMart and its control of supplier agreements on a global corporate scale. The WalMart/Walton fever for money knows very little real ethical business boundaries, including a cult like sense of never being held accountable about anything. Wait until you get a load of all the Mexican made candy WalMart is gonna dump on your kids for Halloween. On behalf of Altria and WalMart’s Bob McAdam (Bob McAdam is vice president of corporate affairs at Wal-Mart Stores. McAdam worked with Phillip Morris/Altria at the Tobacco Institute.
www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Bob_McAdam - ) it will probably include the socially responsible candy cigarettes.
Not enough whole life knowledge Blackcloud 75…
Impoverishment wages and WalMart poverty disorder with the health care snub for their ‘associates’, subsidies of billions of dollars from the taxpayer suckers to WalMart/Walton corporate welfare largess putting under thousands of smaller retail businesses who do not receive such subsidies, Global Labor Arbitrage at $.35/hr in Chinese manufacturing labor, Bentonville demands for U.S. manufacturers/suppliers to open their books for WalMart interference in their business operations over materials and labor expenses with ‘red lining’ practices and economic extortion from WalMart ‘anti-inflationary extortion artists and business destroying hit men.’ Go to China/Mexico or we will dump you now that we made you highly dependent on WalMart contracts and have the ability to devastate your sales accounts and entire business if you don’t comply.
WalMart/Waltons- Because money means everything and people mean nothing and since WalMart’s reputation is eternally in the toilet, our motto/slogan should be…
“Shittin’ on the little guy.”
Will Smith as Detective Del Spooner- I, Robot
Wonderful huh?

“It is also truly remarkable that Wal-Mart’s representative would tell residents with a straight face that he had never heard, “in his 20 years at Wal-Mart where someone opened fire in a Wal-Mart parking lot.” Aside from current war zones, Wal-Mart parking lots have one of the worst crime records in America.”
http://www.sprawl-busters.com/search.php?readstory=2861
This tends to illustrate WalMart’s effectiveness at brainwashing their own ‘associate’ representatives with the WalMart cult type propaganda to the extent that Bentonville cannot even recognize the embarrassment of their own such distortions. With the WalMart crime magnet/parking lot vomit gardens making the news so egregiously and Bentonville’s accompanying lies/denials to their desperate over building store expansion and other store abandonment efforts, this thought came to mind…
“Let’s pray that the human race never escapes from Earth to spread its iniquity elsewhere.”
C. S. Lewis
WalMart- We could do the right thing for people and communities but we would make less money.

Frank Sinatra and the Queen of diamonds. Apology for the misread Blackcloud75 but we deal with so many WalMart shills here that the comment seem genuinely right out of the Bentonville/Edelman ‘war room’…

Regardless of whether Blackcloud75 in Williamston, SC thought he was “joking” or not, that’s the kind of comment that doesn’t deserve a response.

Yes I would agree with Blackcloud75 in Williamston, SC “Wal-Mart is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful company I’ve ever know in my whole life.” I is the kindest place on earth for those in government who they pay to turn the re heads. It is the bravest place there is just look at the support it’s not giving troops. As far as warmest place we fresh bovine fecal matter is warm. And as far as the most wonderful company, sure if your China. So with that being said I would have to agree that “Wal-Mart is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful company I’ve ever know in my whole life.”

Black Cloud_What is your “trigger”?Surely its not the Queen of Diamonds, perhaps the yellow smiley face on the “rollback signs”?(I agree that the original is perfection-did you know it was banned for many years after the assasination of John F. Kennedy?)

I hate Walmart. Walmart has done more bad for our economy than good. Walmart has been irresponsible for impoverishing their employees to keep products and services at very low cost. While everything else seems to be going up, i.e. the price of fuel, my state and federal taxes, my heating costs, the prices at Walmart have been going up as well. How can this be a good thing? I think all of you people who are in love with Walmart are unpatriotic fools who have no ability or desire to figure out what is really going on with a taxpayer subsidies guzzling, tax evading, poverty creating, Chinese communist supporting economic whorehouse company like Walmart. Start paying attention with a little time to serious corporate malfeasance. America.

It’s a joke.
Don’t feel bad, Blackcloud75, most of my movie quotes flop as well.
For you Murder She Wrote fans that think Angela Lansbury is all sweetness and light, watch the original Manchurian Candidate and see her dark side.
