You should try to remember Jonquire. How much money should a job that requires no edjucation or training pay?
This is one of the few times I agree with Wal-Mart.
I shop in Wal Mart often. I view the merchandise offered in Wal Mart as much less desireable than that of other stores. The only reason I buy things from Wal Mart is that they are cheap!
If Wal-Marts prices went up, even slightly, I would stop shopping there. I am not the only one who thinks this way and Wal Mart knows it.
Learn a lesson from the US, Unions destroy businesses and drive them off shore or out of business.

Introducing the latest corporate criminal:
Conrad Black Hollinger International
From the newspapers:
“Black is accused of using shareholder funds for personal expenses including shopping excursions for his wife Barbara Amiel Black, a vacation in Bora Bora, and the refurbishing of a Rolls-Royce. He has been charged with mail and wire fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, racketeering and criminal tax violations. If convicted, he faces up to 101 years in prison.”
This Canadian fat cat is on trial in Chicago. I have to laugh when knowledgable writes that Walmart needs an instore union. Former Dominion Grocery chain in Canada had that arrangement with Conrad at the wheel. He ended up taking the employee’s pension money for himself and other assets.
All these corporate criminals take away the steam for those who argue that “these are the good guys” while unions are nothing but criminal based. The criminals are running some of the companies now.

Alex,
“This Canadian fat cat is on trial in Chicago.”
What!!! You mean there is corruption in the great land of Canada? And, why is he on trial here in the states, don’t they have criminal courts in Canada?
BTW, did Conrad work for the company or did he represent the In-house-union? If he worked for the company, then the employees aren’t very bright!! And, if he represented the In-house-union, it shows what can happen because of the power a union wields!!! “Power corrupts and ‘absolute’ power corrupts absolutely”!!
“The criminals are running some of the companies now.”
It’s called “Equal Opportunity”, why should the unions have all the criminals? Share the wealth!!!

Alex explain your remark relative to what knowledgeable wrote about in-house union? How could a spokesman for the in-house union have access to pension funds? I don’t understand your post.

What light are you talking about, if you are talking about the ‘share the wealth’ comment, that was made tongue-in-cheek!! I already knew that some union officals are criminals, are you talking about Canadian criminals? Who are these friends of mine, you refer to?
Why is it, you pass over some of the questions asked of you, could it be, you have no answers? It was asked what capacity Conrad Black had with an in-house union? You referred to knowledgeable’s “in-house union”, idea in correlation to Mr. Black

This site is censoring and banning posts!
I personally believe that deleting posts should be reserved for those that contain truly offensive material but, having said that, being a staunch defender of private property, I accept WMW’s right to do so.
I am surprised there was no similiar outcry concerning the recent <a href="http://www.brandweek.com/bw/news/packaged/article_display.jsp?vnu_c>news</a> of corporate attempts to sanitize the internet..
Some call it “brand protection” while others dub it “reputation management.” Several firms, including 360i, USWeb and iCrossing claim they can improve a brand’s image on Google searches, whether it be to dispel confusion or to push critical mentions down further in searches.
And to Nick, Jim, and The Sage, I direct your attention to the bottom of the page:

Ken,
I do agree with you on that—posts that contain vulgar or otherwise similar material should be censored, only because I wouldn’t want my children reading something like that.
However, if the post is simply one of us being critical of WMW, the powers-to-be need to suck it up, as that’s what you’re going to get in any forum—both sides of the story!
As far as I know, none of my posts have ever been censored, because I can usually get my message across without having to resort to extreme profanity.
I do have some personal opinions of WMW and its’ ilk, but I will do the editors the favor and censor them, now ;-)

Ken
It is true that WMW has the right to ban or censor posts. However, if WMW were really interested in “truth” and “fairness”, it would encourage debate that helps Wal-Mart to “change”. When you delete, edit or ban posters whose only transgression is that they slice your “arguments” to ribbons, you lose any credibility you may have had regarding the search for truth.
That said, I agree that vulgar or illegal posts should be banned. I also believe that posts that cannot be supported by hard data should be banned. We should limit debates to facts and save the Cindy Sheehan rants for Code Pink blogs.
The first step in any totalitarian state is to ban or censor free speech. Why? Because totalitarianism generally has numerous negative qualities, flaws that, if pointed out, could prove embarassing to those in power. I feel that this site is embarassed and humiliated by the truth. Perhaps they feel it would be easier to recruit supporters and contributions if nobody here contradicted their propaganda.
You can try and stop us here but nothing you do will ever change the fact that you have failed in your efforts to undermine Wal-Mart. The American people have made a choice, one that you don’t believe they should be permitted to make. You can’t understand why the American people don’t see your point of view. I’ll help you out. The American people don’t see your point of view for the same reasons they don’t believe in unions, watch CNN or listen to Air America: liberalism, when presented as such, cannot be supported by logic, facts, data or reason. The American people are intelligent and will not support any point of view that does not make sense to them.

Ken V—yes I know all about the caption at the bottom, but never had I posted any vulgarity or profanity, it was just facts, that someone did not want posted.
Alex—I believe you are a phony for if you have or had not heard of Renee Caisse (the Cancer Nurse of Canada) you know nothing about the health care in Canada. Read her life story and you will see how great the Canadian Health System is and how it is controlled.
Alex you also refused to answer my question as to how Conrad controlled the pension fund of a so called in-house union. Bob in also asked you to respond. When one refuses to respond, they person is not of a knowledgeable background.
Nick in you are so correct in your post-- truth is not always wanted on here-- thus we never learn. All of what I posted previously under the other name never, ever had any profanity in it. But my contribution was accepted, makes one really wonder.

Let me start by saying I have had a couple of posts deleted although for the life of me I don’t know how they differed from my usual stuff. Not to worry. there’s plenty more where that came from.
I’ve never seen anything censored, only deleted. The post either makes the cut or it doesn’t.
And although I hate to admit this, I agree 100% with Nick. Bring on the opposition and we’ll see whose arguments get sliced “to ribbons”.
Personally, I enjoy counter punching and without the pro Wal-Mart side, I’m merely shadow boxing. Therefore, I stand foursquare behind the motto:
Refute, don’t delete!
P.S. Hey, WMW, your comment counter is broken.

Alex - yes I was setting a trap; for you expouse so much knowledge and yet you know virtually nothing, but one subject that you always post.(Remember something)
Now where was I off the post relative to what I asked of you? I thought every Canadian knew of Renee Caisse!
Further more Alex you still have failed to answer as to why this “Conrad” was able to get the pension funds of some type of in-house union. Everyone on here who reads this and your evasion of answering can easilty determine the type of phony of which you are. You have dug your own grave so many times.
Yet you try to twist everything—why not just honestly answer a question that was posed to you. I did not take the crystal ball back for that refund as it has worked perfectly by informing all on here as to the type of phony you are.
If you will recall a question was posed to you quite sometime ago about another store, etc in Canada and you very deftly sidestepped the issue, because it would have shown how little you do know. You do know how to try an abuse others who post on here by your insidious twisting of what that other person has written.
