Understanding Obama: The Making of a Fuehrer

I must confess I was not impressed by Sen. Barack Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident – a wholesome presidential package. I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. Obama’s speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history. Never a politician in this land had such a quasi “religious” impact on so many people. The fact that Obama is a total incognito with zero accomplishment, makes this inexplicable infatuation alarming. Obama is not an ordinary man. He is not a genius. In fact he is quite ignorant on most important subjects. Barack Obama is a narcissist. Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of the Malignant Self Love, also believes, “Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist.”

Vaknin is a world authority on narcissism. He understands narcissism and describes the inner mind of a narcissist like no other person. When he talks about narcissism everyone listens. Vaknin says that Obama’s language, posture and demeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, dearest and nearest suggest that the Senator is either a narcissist or he may have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). 

Narcissists project a grandiose but false image of themselves. Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of People’s Temple, the man who led over 900 of his followers to cheerfully commit mass suicide and even murder their own children was also a narcissist. David Koresh, Charles Manson, Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Stalin, Saddam, Mao, Kim Jong Ill and Adolph Hitler are a few examples of narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous influence over their fanciers. They created a personality cult around themselves and with their blazing speeches elevated their admirers’ souls, filled their hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in their minds a new zest for life. They gave them hope! They promised them the moon, but alas, invariably they brought them to their doom. When you are a victim of a cult of personality, you don’t know it until it is too late. 

One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse. “Obama’s early life was decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally bruising dislocations,” says Vaknin. “Mixed-race marriages were even less common then. His parents went through a divorce when he was an infant (two years old). Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. Then, his mother re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia : a foreign land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a step-father. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal (white) grandparents. He saw his mother only intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished from his life in 1979. She died of cancer in 1995.”

One must never underestimate the manipulative genius of pathological narcissists. They project such an imposing personality that it overwhelms those around them. Charmed by the charisma of the narcissist, people become like clay in his hands. They cheerfully do his bidding and delight to be at his service. The narcissist shapes the world around himself and reduces others in his own inverted image. He creates a cult of personality. His admirers become his co-dependents. 

Narcissists have no interest in things that do not help them to reach their personal objective. They are focused on one thing alone and that is power. All other issues are meaningless to them and they do not want to waste their precious time on trivialities. Anything that does not help them is beneath them and do not deserve their attention. If an issue raised in the Senate does not help Obama in one way or another, he has no interest in it. The “present” vote is a safe vote. No one can criticize him if things go wrong. Why should he implicate himself in issues that may become controversial when they don’t help him personally? Those issues are unworthy by their very nature because they are not about him.

Obama’s election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review led to a contract and advance to write a book about race relations. The University of Chicago Law School provided him with a fellowship and an office to work on his book. The book took him a lot longer than expected and at the end it devolved into…, guess what? His own autobiography! Instead of writing a scholarly paper focusing on race relations, for which, he had been paid, Obama could not resist writing about his most sublime self. He entitled the book Dreams from My Father . 

Not surprisingly, Adolph Hitler also wrote his own autobiography when he was still nobody. So did Stalin. For a narcissist no subject is as important as his own self. Why would he waste his precious time and genius writing about insignificant things when he can write about such an august being as himself?
Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless. As the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama’s lack of interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per month. A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in Hawaii, and who has raised nearly half a billion dollars for his campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in the plight of his own brother. Why? Because, his brother cannot be used for his ascent to power. A narcissist cares for no one but himself. 

This election is like no other in the history of America . The issues are insignificant compared to what is at stake. What can be more dangerous than having a man bereft of conscience, a serial liar, and one who cannot distinguish his fantasies from reality as the leader of the free world? 

I hate to sound alarmist, but one must be a fool if one is not alarmed. Many politicians are narcissists. They pose no threat to others.. They are simply self serving and selfish. Obama evinces symptoms of pathological narcissism, which is different from the run-of-the-mill narcissism of a Richard Nixon or a Bill Clinton, for example. To him reality and fantasy are intertwined. This is a mental health issue, not just a character flaw. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look normal and even intelligent. It is this disguise that makes them treacherous. 

Today the Democrats have placed all their hopes in Obama. But this man could put an end to their party. The great majority of blacks have also decided to vote for Obama. Only a fool does not know that their support for him is racially driven. 
Let us call a spade a spade. This is racism, pure and simple. The truth is that while everyone carries a misconceived collective guilt towards the blacks for wrongs done centuries ago by a bygone people to a bygone people, the blacks carry a collective rancor, enmity or vendetta towards non-blacks and to this day want to “stand up” to the white man.. They seem to be stuck in 19th century. 

The downside of this is that if Obama turns out to be the disaster I predict, he will cause widespread resentment among the whites. The blacks are unlikely to give up their support of their man. Cultic mentality is pernicious and unrelenting. They will dig their heads deeper in the sand and blame Obama’s detractors of racism. This will cause a backlash among the whites. The white supremacists will take advantage of the discontent and they will receive widespread support. I predict that in less than four years, racial tensions will increase to levels never seen since the turbulent 1960s. Obama will set the clock back decades… America is the bastion of freedom. The peace of the world depends on the strength of America , and its weakness translates into the triumph of terrorism and victory of rogue nations. It is no wonder that Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, the Castrists, the Hezbollah, the Hamas, the lawyers of the Guantanamo terrorists and virtually all sworn enemies of America are so thrilled by the prospect of their man in the White House. America is on the verge of destruction. There is no insanity greater than electing a pathological narcissist as president.

I too refuse to accept the judgment of the American people. In all bitterness and fairness to my bigoted resentments, Obama must be declared like Adolph Hitler because all the other crap we flung did not work. You remember the birth certificate claims and the ‘Muslim’ baloney and the Ayers ‘terrorist’ scams we paraded across the country.

BTW, for those of you who are happy for real change away from the grand success of the Bush policies, my life now really sucks. As Obama succeeds in helping the nation, my attitude as an American will only grow more bitter.

I’m swinging wild now as we try and blame anyone and everyone for the national rejection of economic philosophy that benefits Walmart and shakes down the American people. Larry’s bitter attitude against America waking up to Walmart’s greed is only a reflection of my own greed that now must face the consequences of having no patriotic or social conscience. I enjoy funding Chinese communism, what is wrong with that?

Walmart’s profits are up and money is all we care about. As desperate and unemployed Americans come through Walmart’s doors to buy the crap that destroyed their jobs my joy turns to thrill as I see more and more desperate Americans forced to down grade their lives to poverty.

Headed by Ali Sina, FaithFreedom.org presents articles and commentaries that charge that Islam’s founder, Muhammad, was a rapist, pedophile, mass murderer and an “evil man.”
On the site, which features, the description “Islam and Quran denounced by ex-Muslims as the root of terrorism,” Sina promises that if anyone can prove him wrong in his assertions about Muhammad and Islam, he will take the site off the Internet.

A Muslim’s typical response to this site is: ‘My faith in Islam grew after I read your site.’ How can one’s faith grow after reading the proof that the man whom he thought to be a prophet was guilty of all the above charges? Has anyone disproved any of those charges?”

Continues Sina: I do not think there is any need to prove that day is bright and night is dark to a seeing person. And to [the] blind proofs are of no avail.”
Besides Sina’s writings, the site features other writers who delve into many different areas of Islam.

One section, for example, is called “Wives of the Prophet” and includes this introduction:

While Sina’s site skewers Islam in many ways, it doesn’t suggest a replacement religion.

And when I though that Ali Sina was about as far down the rabbit hole as one can get, whoa, Sam Vaknin,also lauded in post upthread would qualify for the China Syndrome-that is ,a hole dug to the opposite end of the earth. To wit, Sam was born Schmule Vaknin in Israel in 1961. He also has an obsession with narcissism,among other topics such as Macedonia. A prolific writer,one essay seemed particularly noteworthy,in light of the fact that an allegedly Christian soldier here,thinks so highly of Vaknin. This is difficult to reconcile,especially after reading this:

Gurus at the center of emergent cults are inevitably narcissistic, if not outright narcissists. The self-imputation of superiority, epiphanic knowledge, and infallibility and the assumption that others need and crave the guru’s message are at the heart of an elaborate construct which often borders on the psychotic:

Here is how Jesus, the lowly, unmarried, and itinerant son of a carpenter - an abysmal failure by the standards of his society - viewed himself.

Contrary to his much-cultivated image, Jesus, like the vast majority of cult leaders, lacked empathy and was a heartless and irresponsible manipulator whose magical thinking ruined the lives of many. He instructed his followers to commit acts that must have had harshly adverse impacts on their hitherto nearest and dearest. Jesus monopolized the lives of his disciples to the exclusion of all else and all others:

Consider the disastrous effects their actions had had on their fathers and their families, now left to starve. To Jesus, evidently, these were irrelevant considerations.

Jesus healed only those who visibly, volubly, clearly, publicly and repeatedly worshipped him. In other words, he extended his gift only to his sources of narcissistic supply. There are numerous instances in the four canonical gospels where Jesus actually bargains with the afflicted and demands - sometimes in anger - their unconditional adoration. He is happiest when acknowledged and affirmed as Christ, the Son of Man (son of God). Those who do not recognize his splendid grandeur, unbounded might, and implied divinity are “dogs” and “swine” (Matthew 7:6)~~~~~~~~~~~~NOTE: This is merely an excerpt. This is prepostrous posturing. It is evident that Vaknin’s obsession with narcissism emanates from firsthand knowledge. But it also says a LOT about OCS that he holds up Vaknin as an object of admiration.

Job opportunities will be based on foreign owned business that will make you the tail not the head. But you will make enough money that it won’t matter as the foreign noose is put around your neck. 

Socialized Medicine that has never worked in any country even in our friendly neighbor Canada who has flooded my city of the Detroit area with people needing care and can’t get it on a timely fashion there so instead, they came here, the best place on earth for medical care. You thought it was bad before!  Now we can look forward to the same mess. In Germany this was a guise to the final solution. It will lead to the same here and you have made history in deed to help start it.

America will be left defenseless to our enemies abroad and vulnerable to the enemy from within at home. An enemy most of you do not even know exists. Sleeping, waiting this mass force has waited for a socialistic takeover. They have a plan and it is not for the good of anyone but themselves. What you measure out to others will come back upon you tenfold by this enemy one that is worse than the deceptive changes Obama will make.

The confusion and question of what is Human rights and what is morality will become very clear by this this “New American change led by Obama”. Gays will have individual special protective rights to impose their lifestyle upon the rest of the world. Christians who oppose this according to the Bible will find themselves heavily fined and imprisoned. God does not hate gays but the act is sin. And when a nation embraces this as human rights and freedom, the Bible calls it, rather God calls this an abomination.It also will not go unpunished

Religious freedoms for everything but Evangelical Fundamental Christians will reach new heights of influence. Islam will be taught in public schools and gain the most freedoms. Christianity and Judaism will not be included in this freedom they will be pushed out.

America under Obama Israel will lose its relationship with this new ungodly America. Her only friends will be Jews in America and all Bible believing Christians in America.

Congressman Warns of Obama Dictatorship

WASHINGTON — A Republican congressman from Georgia said Monday he fears that President-elect Obama will establish a Gestapo-like security force to impose a Marxist or fascist dictatorship.

“It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he’s the one who proposed this national security force,” Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. “I’m just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may — may not, I hope not — but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism.”

Broun cited a July speech by Obama that has circulated on the Internet in which the then-Democratic presidential candidate called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

“That’s exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it’s exactly what the Soviet Union did,” Broun said. “When he’s proposing to have a national security force that’s answering to him, that is as strong as the U.S. military, he’s showing me signs of being Marxist.”

Obama’s comments about a national security force came during a speech in Colorado about building a new civil service corps. Among other things, he called for expanding the nation’s foreign service and doubling the size of the Peace Corps “to renew our diplomacy.”

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set,” Obama said in July. “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Broun said he also believes Obama likely will move to ban gun ownership if he does build a national police force.

Obama has said he respects the Second Amendment right to bear arms and favors “common sense” gun laws. Gun rights advocates interpret that as meaning he’ll at least enact curbs on ownership of assault weapons and concealed weapons. As an Illinois state lawmaker, Obama supported a ban on semiautomatic weapons and tighter restrictions on firearms generally.

“We can’t be lulled into complacency,” Broun said. “You have to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I’m not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I’m saying is there is the potential.”

Its obvious that she is a lost soul trying to make a mark for her place in the liberal twlight zone!
She has become so entwined & obsessed in this blog, she devotes more time here than her relationship with her husband.
I’m sure her husband has found other “outlets” for his lack of companionship, which ddrb is oblivious to. Her husband probably encourages her to pursue her fantasies of being a commentator of some sort, all the while, enjoying other female companionship.

The never ending quest to prove...something or some point and the- multi personality disorders and warped mind that ddrb posses are evident in her posts, definitely fueled by a combination of inferiority complex, paranoia and prozac.

Hard to make a point with someone like that and expect a logical, educated response. But your to be commended for trying.

Congressman sorry for likening Obama to Hitler

Rep. Paul Broun is sorry for seemingly comparing Obama to Adolf Hitler.
(CNN) — Republican Paul Broun is sorry for calling President-elect Barack Obama a ‘Marxist’ and comparing him to Adolf Hitler, the Georgia Congressman said Tuesday.

“I regret putting it that way,” he told WGAC radio in Augusta, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “I apologize to anyone who has taken offense at that.”

In an interview with the Associated Press earlier this week, Broun admitted to calling the future commander-in-chief a ‘Marxist’ at a recent Rotary club meeting, and said Obama has expressed support for policies similar to those of Hitler.

“It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he’s the one who proposed this national security force,” Broun told the AP. “I’m just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may– may not, I hope not — but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism.”

Broun was specifically referring to a July speech by Obama, where the then-Democratic presidential nominee said he supports a civilian force helping the military when it comes to national security: “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded [as the military],” Obama said in the speech that was largely a call to national service.

“We can’t be lulled into complacency,” Broun added. “ I’m not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I’m saying is there is the potential.”

The Obama transition office did not respond to Broun’s comments, and in his interview Tuesday to WGAC,Broun, the first term congressman said, “The point I tried to make is that he is extremely liberal, he has promoted a lot of socialistic ideas, and it just makes me concerned."~~~~CNN

I’m not DEFENDING anything, but as they say, “If the shoe fits” and everyone has the right to his opinion!!  If anyone today, would say the things Jesus said, they would not only be called a narcissist, but probably be locked up in a ‘rubber room’!!  Also, if any woman today, would say she was pregnant by ‘emmaculate conception’, would you believe it?  And, how do you know for sure that Charles Manson isn’t Christ returned, I’m not saying he is, I think he is as crazy as a loon, but how do you know FOR SURE?  Didn’t Christ say that when he returned, it would be like a ‘Thief in the night’?  Are YOU capable enough to judge Christ’s motives and actions?  And, if you think that Christ wouldn’t kill people like Manson did, try to remember what God did to his children in the Noah’s flood or what he allowed to happen to JOB and what happens in Revelations!!

Why is a U.S. Army brigade being assigned to the “Homeland”

Several bloggers today have pointed to this obviously disturbing article from Army Times, which announces that “beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the [1st Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry Division] will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North”—“the FIRST time an ACTIVE unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of CIVIL authorities.” The article details:

They may be called upon to help with CIVIL UNREST and CROWD CONTROL or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack. . . .

The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the FIRST EVER NONlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals WITHOUT killing them.

“It’s a new modular package of nonlethal capabilities that they’re fielding. They’ve been using pieces of it in Iraq, but this is the FIRST time that these modules were consolidated and this package fielded, and because of THIS MISSION we’re undertaking we were the first to get it.”

The package includes equipment to stand up a hasty road block; spike strips for slowing, stopping or controlling traffic; shields and batons; and, beanbag bullets.

The brigade will not change its name, but the force will be known for the next year as a CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force, or CCMRF (pronounced “sea-smurf").

For more than 100 years—since the end of the Civil War—deployment of the U.S. military INSIDE the U.S. has been PROHIBITED under The Posse Comitatus Act (the only exceptions being that the National Guard and Coast Guard are exempted, and use of the military on an emergency ad hoc basis is permitted, such as what happened after Hurricane Katrina).And as the Army Times notes, once this particular brigade completes its one-year assignment, “expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one."~~ ~~(Glen Greenwald,Salon.com-9/24/08
