Savaglio v. Wal-Mart - Order Denying Wal-Mart’s Motion to Compel Plantiffs to Elect Remedies
Order pertaining to a wage-and-hour case involving about 116,000 former and current Wal-Mart Stores Inc. workers. The jury was told that Wal-Mart systematically and illegally denied workers lunch breaks.
"The motion by Wal-Mart to compel Plaintiffs to elect remedies came on regularly for hearing on July 13, 2006, in Department 22, the Honorable Ronald M. Sabraw, presiding. Plaintiffs and defendants appeared at the hearing through counsel of record. After consideration of the briefing and argument, IT IS ORDERED: Motion of Wal-Mart to compel Plaintiffs to elect remedies is DENIED."
